NYC’s water comes from the Catskills.

That answers one question. Is it similar for Connecticut and Massachusetts?

Shreveport’s water, excellent in the not distant past, is now not only undrinkable, but among the most unaffordable in the nation.
Mayor Arceneaux is presiding over a meltdown in city services.

We've been high on that list for a long time now. I can remember back in the 80s and 90s Baton Rouge itself was consistently was one of the very best cities for tap water in the nation.

I haven’t been all over the world, but I’ve been a few places. Best tap water I’ve ever had,

1) Iceland
2) Baton Rouge
3) Wengen, Switzerland

Yes, it’s that good!

NYC gets their water from upstate NY and has always ranked as some of the best tap water in the country.

Not sure exactly where the water comes from but although Connecticut and Massachussets may have urban areas the states overall are much greener than people who haven't driven around them probably imagine.

Much less surburban sprawl and factory towns than the mideast or southeast.

Would bring jugs of water when visiting

Years ago some of my grandfather’s relatives would come visit him in Port Allen and they brought empty jugs to bring water home. I think they only had well water though.

The tap water may be pretty good, but after it goes through a hot plastic hose... who knows. Same with suspect pipes.

Port Allen uses treated MS River water. That water is on par with New Orleans water.

Yeah, it’s weird that Bossier doesn’t have that problem. Clearly seems to fall on leadership.
