I think getting rid of the income tax would be a huge plus.

I think I'd prefer just to have a gas tax for roads and a sales tax for everything else. We'd convert some Dems to small government types when they had to pay that 21% tax at the store.

Woot, #1 in fiscal responsibility!

What's this natural environment category and why is Tennessee so low on it?

RI, SD, and MN 1-3? What is this category?

Memphis really fricks us over in the crime category. That tiny portion of the state really skews our stats.

Heroin and meth have wreaked havoc on white people. It's created a terrible sub class. Shows you how effective drug laws are.

It's the tree hugger category. Has to do with environmental protections in place on the books and not even based on how polluted the state is.

Not many baws rolling around in lifted F250s in those states though. Although in VT once your outside of Burlington you'll see them
Once you get out of the Seattle/Tacoma metro and into logging or farm country, you'll see them.

I spent some time east of the Cascades when I was there for a few summers. Plenty of truck driving rednecks in Washington too. Maybe not as many as the South but still very present and accounted for.

Yep. Geographically, over half the state is solid red but the population is concentrated in three counties.

Puyallup, Graham, and anything Thurston County you’ll see them.

Don't know - this looks pretty accurate to me. Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Oklahoma rounding out the bottom.

Looks dead-on-balls accurate

Are you agreeing there are 37 better states than Texas? If so, you are the first Texan I've ever met to do so

Mainly white liberal states at the upper end making fun of black southern states for being racist white states.

Do you really think I live in Texas? I high-tailed it out of there, and have never been back. Texas is a hole.

Top 3 have no income tax on personal earnings.

Yeah, but the taxes here in WA are outrageous for everything else. Granted we do not have tax on groceries, but we have some of the highest taxes on gas and property in the country. My taxes last year were $6,311 on a modestly priced home. Gas was around $3.70/gallon last week when I filled up. It is outrageous.

And the liberal corruption here is just as bad as anywhere else, except they openly tell you they are spending your tax money on homeless junkies. The only thing good here is the weather.

Where do you live? The state, on average, is pretty middle of the road on property tax. Gas prices suck, though.

Thurston County. Stationed at JBLM. At least they are trying to fix the road infrastructure around here with our tax dollars.

This list is a clownshow though considering they had Iowa #1 last year. Who the frick wants to live in MN (unless you're Muslim) or New Hampshire?

Like seriously...Idaho over Georgia and California?
