Edwards expanded Medicaid but that didn’t show up in the health numbers.
He doesn’t want you to know that.

Three years of Edwards and like clockwork we get the Jindal defense.
It all Jindal’s fault.
It all Jindal’s fault.

Florida and Georgia are the only SEC states in the top 20. Not surprising.

Seems like the states that lack a certain demographic rank the highest

We’re only last because we’re in the best country.

I laughed so goddamn hard at this

Gov. John Bel Edwards’ administration has argued the data U.S. News uses for some categories is years old and pre-dates his time in office or only includes his first few months. “Unfortunately, this ranking doesn’t accurately reflect the progress Louisiana has made in recent years and how much better we are doing today given the gains that we have made in many critical areas that directly impact people’s lives,” Edwards said in a statement. “Louisianans know how much better we’re doing now than when we were facing down a $2 billion dollar deficit just a few years back. By working together across party lines, we’ve stabilized our budget, turned deficits into a surplus, are investing more in education at all levels and focusing on our infrastructure for the first time in years. We have improved our health care by extending coverage to thousands of working adults, we no longer have the highest prison population in the country, and higher education funding is fully stable.”
Your magic powers have no effect John Bel, and neither does your honor code.
Nobody is fooled, except for those who choose to be fooled.

Ok you're right. Jindal was the greatest Gov in the country for 8 straight years and Edwards destroyed all his accomplishments already...

Not surprising at all

Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia and New Mexico rounded out the bottom of the list. At the top: Washington, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah and Vermont.
The states at the top lack our racial diversity. Where's the finger wagging?

Not many baws rolling around in lifted F250s in those states though. Although in VT once your outside of Burlington you'll see them

“The numbers are inaccurate.....for the third time in a row.”
Don’t know how he can say that with a straight face. I would have respected him more if he had just walked out and said “but muh hunting and fishing!”

And it's also not surprising they lack racial diversity. They need to diversify.
Imagine, if like Washington for instance, our most populous minority group was Asian at almost 8%. I wonder where we would sit on this list?

And then they don't really provide any data to back it up except "we're less shitty than we used to be!"

That's true.
If we were a Caribbean country instead of a state in the union, we'd be number one.

Your words certainly not mine.
The point is you Edwards proponents don’t have much to point to in the way of accomplishments so you bring up Jindal everytime.
Jindal failed the state, but Edwards hasn’t changed anything other than he raised taxes, let prisoners out of jail and he expanded Medicaid.
The economy of La. hasn’t grown, people are fleeing and we are 50th in health.
Edwards is on his way to surpass Jindal as the worst governor of this century
