We got a nursing home update yesterday
18 residents / 10 staff
5 positive residents currently in their rooms, if they do not need ICU they are turned around & sent back to nursing home

If our numbers stay low over the next week or so that will be really good news. Because people have been out and about like crazy over last several days.

I'm predicting it will - you have to think healthy people are out and about for the most part while the old are still staying home and wearing masks. the healthy people are building immunity.

There’s nothing to catch. You don’t even hear anyone coughing anymore. Wash your hands after using the bathroom and you’ll be fine.

Ouachita Parish:

8th in parish population
6th in total cases
6th in total tests
19th in deaths.

So, we are over-testing for our population and therefore finding more cases? Why is the death total so low for population?

I passed 2 testing stations todau (houma and hainville) and the most busy one had two cusomters, the other had none

They both had what looked like about 20 people working them a few being national guard, all sitting around looking very bored.

US just passed 70,000 deaths attributed to COVID-19. That’s good for 0.0002% of the population of 331,000,000.

6th in parish population
14th in total cases

*Ouachita is 8th in tests

Yet Lafayette's region was one of the reasons for extending the stay at home order

Agreed. I don't see amy reason why we can't open everything up with reduced capacity, disinfecting, surfaces as needed, proper social distancing, people maintaining good hygiene, and common sense.
