Per LDH Website

LDH provides one daily update each day at 12PM CT.

Today's numbers include a backlog of over 500 positive cases dating back to 4/25/20.

How the hell can they not clear these “back logs”?? People who aren’t informed are going to (ok already are) flip the hell out.

to you OP. You remain appreciated.

But, why?

I'd be kinda pissed if my test results were one of the ones that has been kicking around in someone's desk drawer for a month and a half.

Dumped 25k tests to fit the narrative

If there was a memorial day bump, they would be hitting the hospital by now. There are 40 less in the hospital in a week.

More cases are only due to more and better testing.

I read somewhere about JBE saying 6% positive rate was a magic number of sorts.

I had never heard this — anyone know what that means? Will they roll back the phases at that point??
Educate me please.

I'm updating the rolling average charts right now...but with the test dump, the positive case rate actually went DOWN.

Alabama has been sitting at around a 7% positive rate since it started testing in early March, but this past week we have been getting story after story about how we are seeing huge increases.
The rolling 14 day average was at 7.24% yesterday.

5.2% positive rate

No matter what we do, shelter in place or go licking door knobs, positive rate is always around 4-6%

Agreed. But I have actually stopped paying attention to these everyday numbers because you can’t be sure if they are bullshite or not.... I’m just living my life. I will not walk around scared........

5.09% 3-day
4.98% 7-day
4.95% 14-day

I mean they clearly stated it's a backlog. And Honestly you have to be a fricking retard to look at these numbers and think it's alarming.
So if people believe the narrative, let them.
