I would love to know the break down of how the testing is different in Phase 2. We all know the amount of tests sky rocketed.
For all we know the people being tested in Phase 2 are more likely to be positive that the people in Phase 1. Numbers don't always tell the complete story.

I'm not great with numbers/stats BUT I do know that numbers can say what you want them to say.

Yes they can. Numbers wise the Dallas Cowboys had the best offense in the league. The poor old Chiefs were only 6th.

Those are tests that have been performed
Nursing homes are testing weekly
Positive people are testing weekly to get a negative so they can go back to work
People tired of waiting for results are going somewhere else & getting retested

CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield told reporters on a conference call Wednesday that states were told to stop sending hospital information to the National Healthcare Safety Network site, the CDC’s system for gathering data, beginning Wednesday. Instead, all data will now be reported through HHS’ reporting portal, officials said, adding that the decision was made to streamline data reporting and to provide HHS officials with real-time data.
Public health specialists and former health officials acknowledged that the CDC’s data reporting infrastructure was limited, and said it needs to be overhauled to meet the demands of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, they expressed concern in interviews with CNBC that the change could lead to less transparent data.

Crazy. I only know of a handful of people that have taken a test. But I guess this gets us to about 1/4 of the state has tested at some point?

If they are testing and retesting and retesting jails & nursing homes, they're testing the same people over and over again.

The testing data is so out of whack because we have no true understanding of how many people the numbers are counting... two anecdotal but on both sides for myself... first group have been tested a total of 20 or so times bc of son who’s going through cancer treatments.. all 20 tests negative.. second is a family of three In the household who have been tested 10 or so times with at least 7 positives.. I have no idea how all these tests are

If tests and cases and deaths can be reported, how hard can it be to figure hospitalizations and vents? WAY more numbers involved with cases/tests.
