Doesn’t mean it hasn’t been discussed. “Near Zero incidence” as listed has always been there for phase 2 and 3 as an overall guide. They do have specific target rates within that.

Further more that guidance you listed was issued months ago. States considered red or hot beds have their own goals as advised by the CDC. The downward projections, near zero cases, and less than 10% positivity is a universal recommendation. It gets very specific and in more detail at some state levels. This is widely known and reported; all you have to do is pay attention and do a little research.

Individual parishes can opt out of the mask mandate upon 2 weeks of a case load under 100/100,000.
Effectively - if new cases don't grow by 0.1% of the population over a 2 week period than that Parish can opt out of the mask mandate. No Parish in LA meets that (this is the first screen on the LDH page which is red).
Orleans is pretty close - but obviously Latoya is never going to be less restrictive than the state.

So how do I read the numbers on that slide for vermilion parish? 742,1 is what the 2 week incidence is listed as. ???

I’m pointing out that it’s nowhere referenced on the CDC / WH guidelines
I just asked for a clean link to where this # was coming from & all I have been given was a news article where the only reference to 5% was from the WHO

just like I told you last time, if you actually looked into the document, you would see the 5% referenced multiple times when a state was listed as "green"
all you have to do is literally read the first bullet point on the first Alaska page to see the reference
then go to Alabama and see that they are in the "red zone" with a positivity rate of >10%
then go to Arkansas and see that they are in the "yellow zone" with a positivity rate of 5% - 10%

Just got a chance to look at the graphs, and you can see what she means.
Acadiana's peak for hospitalizations was July 22nd with 304 hospitalized. August 7th is showing 241. A net decrease of 63 people in the hospital over the last 16 days since the peak.
Ventilators are in no danger of being overwhelming but those peaked on July 27th with 58 people on vents. Today's number is 39.
The last day we were given a percent positive number for Lafayette was for the week of July 23rd-29th which was 11.1% which was a decrease from 14.1% for the week prior.
The baws are healing.
