Well people really believe that way unfortunately. I’m not sure what their solution is. To just stay inside until the vaccine comes along and to live off the govt till then? I’ll pass thanks.

Evidence based approach to pandemic is purely based on not overwhelming the system
The system isnt overwhelmed
Thus you reopen with minor restrictions.

I recently read the above and think it's crap about saving counties time. It's just reporting info to public and moving on. I hope this doesn't start to confuse pending tests with processed ones. We still have some variation on date specimens taken and date their results are reported across country (don't think 9 days is happening or at least as often). There are still some states that don't make it clear if number of tests reported are results (positive + negative) or if pending is included in number or when reporting as specimens tested if each specimen tested is a different person and not retesting of same specimen or retesting of same person in close time period just to confirm prior results.

Nursing home where I work is testing positive out the arse ... no one other than employees/xray tech/lab techs have been allowed in and not even all employees (me) who can work from home. Two have died and I think 3 or 4 are in hospital still between 15/20 positive in the facility.
SOMEONE brought it in -- SOMEONE was asymptomatic and felt fine (yeah that they weren't feeling bad) and it's now all up in the facility.
Again, just my situation.

Yeah I'm passing on a vaccine as well, at least at first and for a while after. And even with a vaccine there will be MANY like that who won't take it.

Same situation I referenced in my post above. The person who got the virus worked in a similar facility. Now, it's all over that place. She shared it with a sibling before she was symptomatic. Sibling and sibling's child now are positive, but asymptomatic.

I would like it better if hospitalizations kept going down like they did for many days in a row, but a one day blip is not that bad. Hopefully they will start down again tomorrow. Good to see vent usage going down again.

The state hasn't provided the updated commercial test numbers for today.
Even if waiting for commercial reports or if part of NEDSS not sharing negative results You would still think 595 new positives reported had at least 595 tests completed plus any negative results performed by state labs (assuming some of the 595 positives are from state labs).
This would only make sense if someone messed up report or they are correcting mistakes in previously reported results.

Damn, haven’t checked in on your posts lately to see how y’all were doing. Absolutely hate to hear that. What you describe is the scariest thing about this to me. Mortifies me that I could contract and infect others with no clue.
Have heard of a couple cases here and there at other facilities in my region, third party staff, etc., but as for now my facility is still clear. Have had precautionary testing done on a few staff for low grade fever, all negative. Best of luck to you, your team, and your residents going forward. I cant imagine.
