Many people are still gathering with family. As evidenced by my patients who are still needing tests. On the outpatient side of things- I can assure you that there are MANY recovered and MANY MANY people with mild disease. I think we have achieved our goal and agree we need to start getting people back to work.

Magical Rate of: 5.02%
NOW lets do some liberal Math and i'm going to be super conservative doing so.
Real LA Covid Cases that has actually occured: 250,000 + 21,951 equals 271,951
Real LA Covid deaths truly from Covid from above numbers: 803
Covid LA Deaths that truly occured prior to testing for Covid: 17
Total LA Covid Deaths: 820
Actual Death Rate: 0.301% Not even a third of a %

I've been staying busy and not holding back seeing friends and family. I haven't been in a group of more than 8-10 in over a month from what I can remember, but groups of 8-10 every other day or more.
But this is good, we don't want cases to drop off completely. That's not the point. We want cases to plateau at a point just under the hospital capacity. Otherwise we are just delaying the inevitable longer and longer until there's a vaccine.

These numbers get treated like crawfish prices. No matter what the numbers are somehow they are bad. No matter what the crawfish conditions are the prices are high until Easter.

It's starting to look like the scheduled expiration of the present orders at the end of April is just about right, and maybe a couple days on the over-safe side. It would be premature to open up today, with only a couple days of positive trend, but if the positive trend continues for another week, it would certainly no longer be premature.
I'll try to get some indication from my sauces in EBR as to the end game on these orders.

Can anyone explain to me why were are at 90 deaths?
We had just 21 in the last 24 hours and were projected about 30-45 deaths. Is JBE backtracking again like they did yesterday?

They are adding in a bunch of deaths over the last 2 weeks that were presumptive Wuhan virus deaths.

Nursing homes patients aren't going to stores, picking up take out, or going to work in essential jobs.
If 5% of the general public has had it, that's 250 000 cases in Louisiana.

Hospitalizations down two days in a row is a great sign. Vents going down a lot of days recently is excellent too.
