Perhaps, but the hospital wouldn’t waste a test on them.
I can understand reporting a heart failure death as a covid death if that person would have lived had their body not been weakened by covid and there wasn’t some other significant contributing factor.
I don’t think hospitals will report a covid death to the state after a person with covid died after being shot in the head.

But no matter what if the number of increased deaths drops, it’s a good sign especially if the increased number of new deaths drops multiple days.

If you shot yourself in the head we would not test
But if you overdosed on a massive amount of drugs we would test
If you had an enlarged heart that finally gave out we would test
If you had a brain aneurism we would test.
Becuase all of those instances need to have a coroner review for COD
And if positive those will be counted for now

So basically if there is no external evidence of foul play (gunshot wound, trauma) then a test for covid will be administered and filed accordingly?

JBE just gave the Breakdown of the underlying medical issues of the deaths. One was kidney disease one was obesity and one was heart disease

40% of Americans are obese. IMO, I think Mardi Gras is responsible for the spread in Louisiana. People started testing positive in the New Orleans area first. People from all over the world go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. And thats a perfect environment for it to spread.

The majority of Americans over 50 have several health issues working against them. South LA has high heart disease per capita as well. Out of 100 average americans in the 50 and higher age bracket you would be hard pressed to find the healthy ones IMO.
