83 deaths. Italy had 79 deaths on Day 18. A state of 4.5 million still trending higher than a country of 60 million.

There is no god damned way you are this stupid.

I refuse to believe it.

Has anyone recovered? Is that factored in to the numbers?

It's absolutely insane that no one can get the historical data for these updates from the la Dept of health because their two data source links are broken

I would hope the test stats only include completed tests where a result was obtained

Does "test completed" mean the test was done and submitted and could either have results or waiting results...or does it mean the test was done, submitted and results have been returned

I guess it would be safe to assume the latter

Most info from previous days: Reddit post

That should help put this into some context. Hopefully they'll keep updating the info.

Are the tests we have done are as of yesterday or results from a week ago??????? Because that would make the numbers different.

That might be the worst chart I've ever seen

Why do you have to write "cases" and "deaths" in columns clearly marked as such

Penmanship also makes it look like you misspelled the last part of Louisiana and had to correct

This is the variable that matters.

Typo? 83 deaths not 89.

I didn't make it.

Attack the penmanship not the data.

Probably has to do with more test kits becoming available so they’re not having to save the limited test kits for people who exhibit strongest symptoms and would be more likely to test positive

I dont think for a single second Louisiana will fare nearly as bad as Italy with this thing.

But you cant deny those numbers at face value are certainly not encouraging. It's just not a good luck at all.

The death totals is what really matters.
Why are people in La. dying in the same numbers as there were in Italy?

Can you show the rest of the rows? Does it show the projected 'peak' date?

It reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite when he drew a picture of his prom date as a gift for her

ETA: btw that chart was made in a thread last week “Italy vs. USA” or something like that.

Interesting. Look at the big increase in the number of tests. There is your answer on the big increase in confirmed cases.
