first it was social media here and there
then it was here and there in movies/tv
then the national media made it a daily/nightly topic
then it leaked into sports and sports media
then our elementary children were taught a lesson on it
then it became the focus of all corporate advertising
then corporations forced their employees to take training on it.
then it was leaked into children’s cartoons
then if you didn’t say or do the right thing son social media you couldn’t be on social media.

and here we are. now I won’t be able to drink a beer without choking down my white guilt.

I suppose c on z, Spleen, Oweo, CaptainBrannigan, mmmmcum, Salmon, and TH03 will tell me this is completely normal, no big deal, and I should just ignore it. Right?

What’s funny and pathetically ironic is this is their probably most least seller, bottom of the barrel they keep on tap so they will use that to virtue signal which sounds more offensive to me than actually doing something that really makes a damn. Pathetic.

Exactly. Must be an expense write off of sorts just to virtue signal, ain’t no way they are making money off of this.

Honestly, it'll probably go over pretty well, because they're really just pandering to their existing base of PC Bro's who sit around the patio sipping brews on weekday afternoons, high-fiving each other over racial justice and female empowerment.

Without even looking I just knew Dixie aka Fabourg Brewing was on the list. Gayle is woke.

I found a link that works (no thanks to David the Gnome):

quote:

Walmart is highlighting its commitment to bolstering supplier diversity with the announcement that San Antonio-based Weathered Souls Brewing Co.'s Black Is Beautiful stout will be available at 300 Walmart stores nationwide this February and March.

LINK

That kinda changes things. Big difference between offering swill on tap at the brew-garage and having it in 300 WalMart stores. The brewer already made their money with that deal.

It was displayed prominently on the end of a couple checkout lines at our WalMart. Can’t recall ever seeing beer being sold in that particular location in the store

It's hilarious that this is how you picture people who enjoy craft beer.

No one would buy this shite because of the woke messaging, they'll buy it if it's good beer. Breweries do all kinds of stupid promo shite....like Dogfish Head working with musicians. I remember they brewed one with Pearl Jam and, though it was praised by the PJ fan community as something cool when the release was announced, the beer itself fricking sucked and the sales followed course.

This. I'm disappointed that this jackass hasn't went out of business yet.

And yes this whole movement is really old news for those that can't read through the thread.

LBJ took that to grave with him, except for people that actually stand up for themselves and stop making excuses.
