LOL and the dog groomer chick in the comments wants to be sent home from work. Do these people not understand that they are going to make a fraction of their salaries on unemployment? They're all about to get a one time check of 1k dollars so who gives a shite..

In a month, these same people will be the ones begging for a job

Can’t close restaurants completely. What percentage of the NOLA population do you think has less than two days worth of groceries.

Difference is California shutdown all nonessential businesses, so no you wouldn’t be going to Starbucks, work, and little Bobby’s day care.

Well the idea is that you find shelter. Some general guidelines for the next few weeks:

1. Go to the basement or take shelter in a small interior ground floor room such as a bathroom, closet or hallway.
2. If you have no basement, protect yourself by taking shelter under a heavy table or desk.
3. In all cases, stay away from windows, outside walls and doors.

The only thing I can think of is restaurants.

That hasn't been clarified I don't think.

I bet Latoya does this and does a curfew with and it will be something about citizens not getting hurt etc to pull first responders from covid duties.

Have to assume FedEx and UPS wouldn't operate in shelter in place locales, meaning no Amazon.

Construction sites would shut down.

It would be much worse economically.

The grocery stores are already having issues with keeping stock. If they close restaurants completely, this is going to create very serious issues.

Nah.

"Shelter in place" means they will close all "non essential life sustaining" businesses

meaning right now dept store, clothing stores, barbers, etc are still open

if they declare this, all of those businesses will also close

It's a doubling down and will be more miserable for more people. Stress and panic are about to ratchet up again. Feels like we are slowly being cooked.

Good.

This is getting to the point of criminal behavior. JBE is trying to be one of the cool kids by taking the same measure as people like Newsom.

The other day CNN was blasting people in San Francisco for jogging outside.

They are all in promoting lock down, panic, and the resulting shitty economy.
