The relatively low number of CV deaths will become more tolerable by the day as people are stuck at home with their kids all day, many of them unable to earn income, and all of us unable to socialize. People are already tuning out the Doom Porn from the media. Anyone with a brain realizes infections will skyrocket due to the increase in testing. These governors and mayors are going to start feeling the heat once the emotions and panic have substantially subsided.

People, especially in south LA, have a far different perspective of shelter in place than others. That usually means a serious, imminent threat. This shite is completely irresponsible.

Radio: A tornado has touched down in your vicinity! Seek shelter immediately! Shelter in place!

Would be better. I don't know why it pisses me off so much, but when I hear shelter in place it means one thing. Get your arse inside and stay out of harm's way until given an all clear. That's the ONLY thing it should mean. There shouldn't be a debate about it.

It's like, if I hear "BOMB!" then I think one thing. A bomb. It doesn't mean, "oh well that's not what they meant, they actually meant a really strong firecracker..."

Because its been used wrong! Shelter in Place was originally for thing like a nuclear incident, active shooter etc.... But it has been hijacked like every other thing by the media.

If you notice CA Governor last night and Cuomo today didnt used the term when locking down their states. Cuomo even corrected a reported who tried to call it that.

I'm not a Dem/Liberal but after watching how he has carried himself the last couple of days, if he decides to run Pence will have his hands full with him in 2024.

Not saying pence cant win, but I just don't see him having the ability to unite the party like "The Donald" (WWE reference

) but hey we have 4 years to worried about that!

I’m hoping this will be the case but everyone around me is just towing the line of the media. Really annoys me. I’m not allowed to use logic to defend my point that deaths are not skyrocketing eve though testing is expanding. They just repeat “but the hospitals will get overrun!”
