Holy crap.

Road trip time.

Do they have a shuttle service to get you between slot machines? 600k square feet is not a casino, it is an Amazon Warehouse of slot machines.

Asking as a degenerate gambler.

the WinStar casino

Paying a 50 cent ante on every hand of blackjack or come out roll is just highway robbery.

Understanding statistics, playing those games is bad enough. But with the added ante it is just too idiotic to contemplate.

For people with addictive personalities, banning casinos is a blessing.

Yes and I’d allow casinos before I’d allow the lottery, video poker, and online book making.

Do it!

Gambling, golf, food, entertainment. They get a lot of big name acts to perform there. It is about a hour or so north of DFW. Texans keeping Oklahomans employed.

Here is a link to their website: WinStar World Resort

Our neighbors in Oklahoma and Louisiana are killing it with Casinos right across state lines .

Half of the money they take is probably from Texans.

I'm pretty sure they make most of their money off slots.

They make so much money, the Chickasaw tribe paid for construction of an exit off I-35 because the Feds and state said no. It has to be the nicest exit ever constructed.

I bet (pun intended) that it is more than half in Oklahoma. There are large casinos near every bridge that crosses the Red River.

I prefer the Riverwind in Norman and the River Spirit in Tulsa because there are a whole lot fewer Texans there.

Ive been to both WinStar and Choctaw many times. Choctaw is better in every way except for golf. Golfing is the only reason I go out to WinStar anymore.

Choctaw is almost as big, but nicer, has better food and the pools are much better. Both are about the same distance for DFW folks.

Man I don't pay for drinks. They have Coke machines and I ring my own whiskey in flasks. A flask and a few edibles and it's all good.

The antes for suck. If I'm going to play blackjack, I play $50/hand. That's a dollar ante every time.

ETA--and the drink ladies in Vegas are so famn slow and far between that it's annoying as shite. A flask is always reliable.

I thought that they brought it to move to Vegas. Now that the nba is offering an expansion team to Vegas, no longer need.

Although I don’t know if the adelsons are part of the expansion team.

They should, but you’ll see some in this thread use at to flex on Texas. If Texas legalizes casinos, it will have a major impact across state lines.

no doubt it is. as soon as you start winning they will limit your bets. they only want customers that will lose.

I assume you mean the one in Durant. There is also one south of Hugo.

I don't know how large the Choctaw Casino in Durant is, but it is nowhere close to being as big as WinStar.

I have a list of the top 11 casinos by floorspace.

WinStar is #1 at 600K square feet.

Borgata in Atlantic City is #11 at 161K square feet.

Choctaw does not appear on this list.

Choctaw has several casinos, including a new one in Broken Bow, one in Atoka, Hugo, I think Grant and maybe Stringtown? But when anyone says Choctaw, it's the main one in Durant.

They've added more floor space and. 3rd tower. It must be at least 300k sf, but it's nicer than WinStar and like I said, the pools are much better.

Entertainment is about the same. Gilley's vs Tobt Keith's, pretty decent main stage acts, etc. Yo me the difference is golf vs pools. Again, in my experience, Choctaw is nicer.
