That’s why my wife and I will only buy from a breeder. These people getting shelter dogs don’t realize the problems they cause.

Has he been screened for hip dysplasia? Elbow displasia? PRA?

So you have a cute dog. Lots of cute dogs out there with crippling diseases or languishing in a shelter. Don't contribute to the problem.

Still too young. Really can't have him checked out for good health until he is two.

If he isn't akc you won't fetch more than $250 for a stud fee.

I say all of this because I have a 2 year old ckc registered chocolate lab, excellent health, 130 pounds, and the highest stud fee I've seen is $200 for a puppy mill.

It just isn't worth breeding a non akc dog without being a registered breeder.
