Been at Fishers on Farrel for quite some time across 4 kids. It had been great the many years we’ve been there. Just got the enrollment forms for next year and someone who already attends. They’ll be taking spots to the public very soon! It is also by Lourdes.

My oldest went to Guchereau when young as well. It was great. When my 2nd got there we didn’t last the year and switched to Fishers. Not sure what happened over there

Have you seen the cost of living these days? Besides, what career professional can sit home at least 4 years and just jump back into his/her field?

Yes, it’s called sacrifice. Best thing you can give your child is love and attention, not material things. You can grow your own food, downgrade vehicles, homes, etc. most people can do it if they want, they just don’t really want to.

UPDATE: Daughter is in the new Principal's List in Youngsville. Not a good experience so far. We were in a time crunch, so we had to go with that one. She is on the list elsewhere (fishers when she is 18 months) and creative minds. So, hopefully, we'll get her in one of the other ones soon.

Those that warned me, you were right.

We've used Sugar N Spice across the street from there by the Pizza Hut. It's an older place but they were always good with our kids. Learning Adventures is another good one.

At home with child’s mother, where they belong. Pathetic.

We toured most of the daycares and honestly I wouldn’t send my kid to any of them. Not sure if you and your wife can swing it, but we send ours to a Mother’s Day Out, it’s a much nicer facility and we really don’t have any complaints. I believe some of them have extended hours and do 5 days a week. Look at St Mary’s, Grace Presbyterian, First Baptist, and St Barnabas.

Guchereau

Both my kids went there and one just graduated HS from a pretty good catholic school and the other one will be a junior at ESA. Neither had ever made a grade below and A.

Don’t know if preschool made a difference, but it certainly didn’t hurt.

Look into Play & Learn in Scott. Both my kids go there and we absolutely love it as do they.

Mine also, 4 and 2. Highly recommend.

My oldest daughter went to Fisher on Farrell. My 2 boys go to Guchereau’s and my youngest daughter will attend this fall. Yes, the facilities are outdated and look “grungy”, but they are clean and well kept on the inside. Staff is wonderful. I am pleased with their early learning regimen because I never once thought my sons were behind academically during their toddler years. My oldest son will start JPG this fall. And tuition is reasonable. I pay $1060/month for my 2 sons.

I say this as a Nola transplant who spent my entire k-12 in private school, which included Brother Martin. Sometimes the newest/most expensive daycare isn’t the best.
