Last long motorbike ride was around 14,000 miles wandering around, started in South MS. made it out to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Black Hills for Sturgis, over to Niagara Falls and the Adirondack mountains, down the eastern seaboard to the Outer Banks back up the BRP and then back to South Mississippi.

Way too many detours and side routes to even get into.

Macon, GA to Tacoma, WA for work. Drive there was fine saw parts of the county I have never seen before. Return trip sucked because once I had seen it, the drive just took forever to get home.

BR > Houston > Dallas (to pick up my cousin) > Grand Canyon > LA > San Francisco > Yosemite > LA > Dallas > Houston > BR.

BR > Chicago > Buffalo/Niagara > Boston > NYC > Philly > Charleston, Illinois > BR

A few months ago I did BR > Knoxville > Kansas City > Aberdeen, SD > Billings, MT > Fargo > Minneapolis > Indianapolis > Knoxville > BR > Knoxville. Most of that with a toddler in the car.

Longest road trip was by myself from Stevens Point, WI to Monterey, CA. 34 hours in the car. Longest without stopping to sleep was New Orleans to Tempe. 22 hours drive time with only stopping to fill up and go to the bathroom.

Parents too us on one growing up. Started in Bham and headed west, making it to Santa Fe, then heading north. Hit Colorado, Rock Mt Nat'l Park, then Yellowstone for a few days, then drove across Montana into South Dakota for Mt Rushmore. From there, headed south to KC, then cut across Missouri. Ended up in Indianapolis, before turning back south to return.

Total time was 3 weeks. It was fun I guess, but a lot of long, boring days in the car.

Wow, i think that’s almost as far as you can drive in (mostly) America... what kind of vehicle was your truckster? With five kids, hopefully it was an RV of some sort.

About 25 years ago I took a trip from North Alabama to Southern California via Miss, LA, Texas, NM, and AZ. From there up to Sacramento, Cal then through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, to Sturges, SD. From there through Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and back home.

When I got home I didn’t even want to look at my motorcycle for a week. Still, looking back it was a trip of a lifetime.

Mine actually hasn't been really long.

Huntington Beach to Santa Rosa with the following stops:

Huntington Beach>
Santa Barbara>
Los Olivos>
Los Alamos>
San Luis Obispo>
Carmel>
Santa Rosa

This one was technically more miles, but took less time because I only stopped for gas:

New Orleans>
Savannah

ETA: those are the longest that I've driven. As a kid we drove from Lafayette to Gatlinburg, which was longer than those two in mileage.
