With stops in between of course, but the general route......Charlotte to Phoenix to San Antonio to Naples, FL and back to Charlotte. I think my kids hated me for a month afterwards.

I went on the road almost 8 months one time. We drove and flew through 44 of the lower 48.

Then lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Austria and Germany.

Then back in the usa, hit the east coast and then west again. The last two legs there were mostly driving.

I miss those times a lot, things are more exciting when you're younger.

2.5 months?

From LA to all over the western US?

That’s with 5 people (3 teenagers) in a Mercury Sable.

Good times.

We did it every summer when I was a kid.

BR > Austin > Taos > Grand Canyon > Lake Powell > Vegas > LA > PCH to San Luis Obispo > Yosemite > Utah > Boulder > BR... somewhere in there was Monument Valley and several Grateful Dead shows.

Took about 6 weeks. We only came back because we ran out of money.

San Antonio -> Telluride stop in Roswell to be weird. Summer 2004/5/6

San Antonio -> Catawba Island -> Cape Hatteras -> SAT - summer 2000

San Antonio -> Cuernavaca Mx every otherish summer 94/96/98/02 Grandpa got stopped for some cash a few times in Mx DF. As a child had no clue what was going on other than “gpa got stopped for an out of date license” come to find out they were stopping him for cash. Haven’t been back since the cartels have overrun the city. Miss that place.
