We just returned from an 11 day, 2900 mile trip from Shreveport to Philadelphia to visit friends, then down to Greensboro, NC to visit in-laws. Stopped in Bristol, VA on the way up and stayed in Hoover, AL last night on the way back.

What’s your furthest and longest road trip?

Why would you do that to yourself? My longest is about 11 hours and now I’ve sworn a max drive of 6 or I’m flying.

There have been numerous threads on this and the debate has been settled .. Driving > flying

I was going off the thread title

“Longest and Farthest Trip”

As for road trips, that would be Alabama to Vegas and back.

Cost of Airfare/car rental for 4 for a week ($3000-4000), multiple locations, and the current shite show of air travel, especially on one of the busiest travel weeks of the year. I wanted to be in more control of our schedule than airlines/airports allow.
