Several good points made already, and IMhO, the most telling is that she’s been turned down by multiple attorneys.
If her account had any merit whatsoever, any slither of truth, she’d already have an attorney filing the paperwork with an easy settlement in mind.
If she’s implying a mistake was made, I find that very hard to believe. As someone already mentioned, most people would require require more anesthesia than local oral injections to be completely unaware that a tooth was being removed from their bone, much less as healthy tooth, much less multiple healthy teeth. You know the joke about docs saying “you’re gonna feel some pressure”, we’ll that’s ALOT of pressure.
Speaking of healthy teeth. With a few exceptions, there’s a significant difference in the force necessary to dislodge a healthy tooth compared to a tooth that’s damaged to the point that extraction is needed.
So, sure, a dentist might pull one healthy tooth by mistake. It’s happened before and it’ll happen again. But most would recognized the red flag when they started on the 2nd tooth and found significant resistance.

Sounds like she's molarless, screwed.

There have been a few dentists that have received government benefits by extracting unnecessary teeth, making a ton of money. How that works, idk, but I remember seeing a news report a few years back. But I think it was insurance fraud.
This just seems very bizarre.

If this crazy shite would have happened to me, I would need an attorney to get me out of jail for beating the shite out of that dentist.

She should probably seek out an attorney who specifically handles medical malpractice. I would be pissed about the money, but would be even more upset about losing a bunch of good teeth without even being told it might happen.
We don’t know the full story, though, maybe there is a reason multiple attorneys have turned her down.

She said that she should have suspected something when the dentist gave her three injections to the inside roof of her mouth. She was kind of knocked out after the injections.
Lidocaine sedates you? That's new to me.

A. Never go to places like Affordable Dentures & Implants or most corporate offices like that one. They tend to use the cheapest of the cheap materials & their dentists are generally fresh out of school and/or towards the bottom of their class. This is why that can claim “Affordable”.
B. There is no chance this happened the way you describe.

This story sounds...methy.

She didn’t notice until she got in her car that all her teeth were missing and then she was able to just drive home? Do you have any idea how much pain killers and drugs you’d have to be on to have no pain and no ability to notice all your teeth missing directly after the surgery?
Seems like she could sue just for releasing her in that state.
Did she tell you this story as an explanation for why she has no teeth and then offer to blow you for meth money?

First thing to ask about.
Your friend is an idiot.

On the bright side, she can give a great blowie without those pesky teeth

One of my favorite jokes. Well done.
And I see at least two people who responded to you missed it completely.
As for the OP, why would this woman not have the insurance and payment stuff worked out before letting them perform any sort of procedure on her? It also seems like there has to be more to this story than just some rogue "dentist" scamming some woman just to steal half her teeth. There's also no way in hell someone has all of their top teeth pulled and they don't realize it until they "get to their car and look in the mirror." But I'll keep reading the thread.

I handled a case where a patient wanted all of her teeth removed, but the dentist pulled 11, fitted her for partials and then didn't reline the partials indefinitely for free. (He did a couple, but she didn't pay, didn't quit smoking, didn't take care of the partials so he fired her and she sued.)

Have we considered a rogue tooth fairy?

Dentist could’ve given her 7 triazolam and overdosed her, while snapping off a file in her jaw.

This is really not an attempt to be a smartass, caveat emptor.
