Sad news, saw this guy on his bike a lot around campus. Is this also the guy who jogged seemed like everyday around Stanford? Again, sad either way. And article does not say if hit and run.

I saw an article about this yesterday that said the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated... but no further details.

That's a really dangerous road. Narrow shoulder and sidewalks too narrow for all of the foot traffic along the lake

I saw it like 30 seconds after it happened. Sad to hear. You could tell it was very serious by the way people were reacting

I swear you take your life in your hands when trying to ride a bicycle.

That part of Stanford is very dangerous and wasn't designed for both walkers and bikers
It's just that one bad stretch

Bingo. Don't take this as anti bike but rather that people can't drive, why take a risk? These idiots find a way to wreck on a straight interstate.

Although many safe places to cycle in central MS, people will cycle in packs on narrow, winding roads with no shoulder. Makes not sense.

I know a very successful guy with a smoking hot wife who almost died when he got run over, stupid.

Very suprised this doesn’t happen more often. The sidewalk is very narrow and cars are routinely going over 40 mph.

It's almost as if roads made for cars shouldn't have bikes on them.

Still, motorists need to do a better job of keeping their eyes peeled.

Does it give the race, age, or sex of the driver?

This is why you never ride your bike on a regular road

That would limit cyclists to maybe 3 roads in the entire city to ride on.

It’s almost as if the city and state should add more bike lanes in certain areas to keep cyclists safer and allow motorists to not have to drive around them.

No thanks, Baton Rouge has WAY more frivolous things on which to spend their taxpayer dollars.

What if I told you they could first spend $250k on a study into whether or not bike lanes would be good for the city or not.

I'd ask which minority-owned firm will be getting this contract?
