A man who slipped out of the local jail in New Orleans as he was being booked was quickly arrested again after an all-hands-on-deck response, the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office said. Investigators said that Terrence Joyce, 24, was initially booked at the New Orleans jail on Monday night. Joyce “proceeded to mingle in with other inmates who were being released” and walked out of the jail, according to an arrest report.

For Christ sake, when they built the new prison, why didn't they build it in the East in the middle of the swamp, surround it with a moat and fill it with gators....

But no, put it where the old prison was, so all the tourist can see it coming from the airport...

Points for effort.

I doubt the cops working at the jail are the sharpest knives in the drawer.
