Local Baton Rouge activist Gravy Chambers advocates that DUI suspects should be let free

Rayshard Brooks should be alive. A few things to consider. In the world of COVID-19 I thought we were trying to keep jails empty, to help stop the spread. Why not just take him to his sisters house and tow the car at most. The brother was respectful, and yes he had to much to drink. He wasn’t in motion when the cops found him sleep in the drive thru. His car was already parked, why did the cop have to arrest him? Let’s start and end there. Before you get to anything else, why can’t a Black man being respectful be given the grace to just go home? The fact that a cop can shoot you in the back and go home is disgusting to me. The police are the ones trained for these situations. Or so departments tell us. This never even needed to be an arrest. Issue a situation and drop him off at his sisters house. Everybody goes home. He just had to take him to jail, even after he said he had daughters at home. We can’t let up this time. We have to lean in, because otherwise it won’t stop. This brother should be home with his daughters. It’s hard, but #KeepPushing

Maybe because he was let out early & blew his chance because he was breaking the law AGAIN

Breaking: Gravy and the OT find common ground.

Ya Andy Griffith would have dropped him home and parked his car at his house too as a courtesy

In Gravy's defense, he's kind of retarded.

Nah, Andy would have put him in a cell and let him sleep it off. Of course, he would have walked to the jail, let himself into his cell and previously sold his car because he realized that owning it made him a danger to society.

The truth of the matter? The real truth? If this shitheand and Floyd had both not resisted arrest they both very well may be sitting at home right now. Neither, due to being nonviolent offenses, would have been kept in jail for any length of time with the covid bullshite.
Brooks may well have been held, but he was a violent felon still on parole.

Yeah, parked in the middle of the drive thru...

The guy punched cops, stole a taser, and while running away turned around like he was going to shoot it. Had he simply kept running, he would not have been shot. Period. Instead he turned around and aimed it at the cops. Why is this so hard to fricking figure out?
