Lobdell (to 190) exit off I-10 experience.

What a complete shithole. Got off there yesterday to get gas and grab a bite to eat on a road trip.
When the Chevron on my side of the road had meth heads roaming around and laying in the parking lot so I crossed over to the Shell. The hold mechanism on the Pump was broken off (which seems common in La for some reason) so had to hold the Pump the whole time and noticed trash pouring out of all the cans as they hadn’t been dumped all day. Went in to use the bathroom and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 3 days as there was trash everywhere, spray paint on the walls, and shite floating in the toilet.
Next step was to go to KFC and pick up a tender basket for the road. 30 minutes later I get my tenders and no sides in the bag. I go in for my sides and it was a complete cluster. The place was a mess, they had to ‘cook’ the wedges so were prob just hoping I wouldn’t notice they weren’t in the bag. Meanwhile, as I was waiting, three other people came back in with wrong orders. One got in a yelling match with the cashier and I started worrying a gun would be pulled as threats were flying around.
On the way out, I tapped the horn at someone camped out at a green light and my response was a middle finger and request to get out of the car. Green means go, right?
Luckily I got back on the road and made it to Texas in one piece. Good job again, Louisiana!

You left out the hookers and homeless people. When I moved from Boulder to Baton Rouge I had a big Penske truck full of stuff . I pulled over at the Tiger truck stop. There were two baws at a clearance by the fence line throwing bottles onto the interstate for fun . That’s when I knew I was in Louisiana.

Funny, I've never had any issues when passing through Lobdell. It was my norm to stop at Cash's Casino/restaurant on the way up to Mansura when heading up to visit my father-in-law and grab a bite to eat since it was about 1/2 way there.
For a gas station/convenience store/ diner/ casino, they had pretty good food and I've never had an issue.

I’m not blaming you for what is a disaster of human failings off the Lobdell exit. There’s no excuse for it’s utter trashiness, complete with human disasters at every turn, fast food nastiness, and your local porn vendor. What I am blaming you for however is your piss poor life decisions to stop off there in the first place and expect anything more than what it is, yet another “Nobody Gives A shite About Anything” pit stop on the road to someplace else nicer.
