you're over-stating this b/c you're involved in that aspect of the site. you're severely overrating the popularity of the social aspect of this site. hell, one of the reasons this site is so popular is b/c of how much access an anonymous lurker can have to the discussion

I was looking at LSU baseball recruiting and the ticket exchange. My first post was on the Rant and I asked was there any other female here? They suggested I come here and introduce myself.

I have one girl friend who legit knows about sports and she knows of the site. Doesn't post though but her friend told her of this site when she saw pics of her friends on here in some thread.

I found TD because it popped up several times over the course of a year when I would Google specific topics. The huge hole in the wall restaurant thread that is archived somewhere on the Food and Drink Board is what got me to sign up.

I agree with this but it's that anonymity that allows people to say what they do which leads to flirting, exchanges of emails and other drama inducing behavior.

Yeah, I could see that. Now that I think about it, I've searched random stuff on google, and a TD link will come up, which I always get a kick out of.
