there was probably some concern that any time she found herself disappointed by her neighbors she might pop off on social media to stir up her million man legion.

I don’t know, that doesn’t seem like a very charitable assumption about a person who has never exemplified that sort of behavior before.

I wouldn’t want them there either. Anytime you run into her you run the risk of being on one of her narcissistic social media videos or photos. frick all that. Those people in that building will have real frick you money. And they told her frick you.

When Paul Skenes signs with the Dodgers instead of the Yankees, they'll have only themselves to blame.

That seems insane to spend even with her earnings. What is her long term prospect? I imagine they must seem good to still be spending like that even though her college career is ending.

Buying a house is not like buying a candy bar. Ten years from now she can sell the house. It’s more like storing your money. You have to store money somewhere; why not in a house you are going to get use out of?

Many of these type of buildings have a bias against selling to “show people”.

I’ve maintained from the beginning her linking up with Skenes is her key to success, wealth, and relevancy post college gymnastics.

she and Skenes have every right to feel that they have the world by the arse but when it comes too old money they are viewed like Mrs. Drysdale viewed the Clampetts

So… you think she makes money because she was an LSU gymnast? And that she won’t make as much now that she is not?

Are you referring to her carefully staged and shot photos and video content in which she wouldn’t ever want to “risk” including some boomer fatty like you in it?

This. Wtf is wrong with people?
Other than being very present and popular on social media she’s never done anything to warrant these negative comments by the OT boomer fatties.

Instead they should appreciate a young person being very popular and well known and still being a pretty damn good person.

She’s not an actress, singer, or sports star (not really) in which fame is a byproduct of talent that isn’t necessarily embraced. Fame is her profession.

quote:

Maybe she finds some kind of meaningful career… maybe she’s satisfied with being wealthy on her own and dating/marrying a pro athlete who will be worth $700M in a few years.

My point wasn’t about life fulfillment. My point was her celebrity revolves around social media and telling the world about how great her lunch was on Tuesday or detailing every little bump in the road of life - just like this one with the apartment.

She manufactures stories and attention because she doesn’t really do anything. It’s her life (combined with being hot) that perpetuates her fame, and I doubt the residents wanted their building to have any association with that.

Maybe the apartment folks wouldn’t have allowed any 23-year-old celebrity to live there, but if she were, say, a conventional movie star who otherwise tries to keep a low profile in her personal life, I think her odds would have been better.

All-American gymnast. SI Swimsuit model. Clothing brand collaborator. Helped LSU immensely with NIL. Multimillionaire in her 20's. But "she doesn’t really do anything."

Which of course begs the question, "What do you do?"

They definitely didn’t want all the drama that may come with that. I’d deny it too if I lived there.

What drama is coming with Livvy Dunne? Paul doesn’t look like the type to have stupid parties, and she’s not been involved in any shenanigans while at LSU. I mean I’d be pretty stoked to have Paul Skenes be my neighbor.

quote:

Why would Skenes want an NYC apartment as a Pittsburgh player?

Well he won’t be in Pittsburgh for very long anyways.

I hope he doesn’t end up in New York, but it is what it is.

It doesn’t beg the question at all. Everything is relative. Have you never said a major college or professional athlete or coach sucks? Could you do better?

Dunne’s fame is linked to social media. If TikTok, Instagram, etc., disappeared tomorrow - so would Dunne.

I’m not knocking her. I’m just saying what fuels her fame is not really something a bunch of boomers who want a quiet life (by NYC standards) really want to have around. Maybe if she were a celebrity but her personal life and profession weren’t quite so intertwined she would have been accepted. But I don’t know.
