Although the film does not have a title yet, the theme is "Christmas on the River." Producer Daniel Lewis, with Active Entertainment, wanted to name the movie set in New Iberia "Christmas on the Bayou," but that name is already taken by one of the first films Lewis worked on.
Some of it was filmed in Lafayette & features Randy Travis

Funniest shite about these Lifetime movies is these dumb fricks don't know shite about Louisiana.
My parents watch these movies all the time, and they had the one on that was shot in Lafayette last summer. This is supposed to be a Christmas movie, but you can very clearly hear cicadas in the background.

Me too! I'd love to see your dumb arse get fired quick for creating the wrong haircut.

Lewis said he has a goal of keeping the movie authentic to New Iberia. He is keeping the name of the town the businesses and the haircuts in the movie.
To be an extra you need to email bgcotrfilm@gmail.com with your full name, contact number, a picture of your haircut, date of birth and a line or two stating times you're available. Submissions need to be sent in by Aug. 9.

The plot involves a young woman, Kramer, who returns home to New Iberia from Boston for the 50th anniversary of the Sugar Cane Christmas Festival. All of the former Mr. and Mrs. Christmases return for the festival and "a lot happens, maybe falling in love with some old flames. You never know," Lewis said.
This is basically the plot of every Lifetime movie except the ones about the charming man who turns out to be a psychopath

Sounds like this could get complicated.

quote:. They filmed one here in Ponchatoula for lifetime back in May. It was funny seeing all of the Christmas lights up and decorations in town and it was hot as frick. Not sure how authentic the movie will be. I do know they kept the same business names for the movie and the City is still called Ponchatoula in the show. A guy from here that I grew up with worked on the movie so hopefully he was able to keep them from fricking up details.

But I don’t really think they care about crap like that to be honest. All of these damn movies are all the same with the same plots.
