He was definitely right about a lot of shite. I've read a lot of his writings and it's creepy how much I agreed with a lot of it

Except the whole, you know, killing people thing.

Yes, he was right on most things but his solution was not right.

You can't be a nationalist and believe in individual rights first.

Nation first at the expense of the individual.

If you were individual rights first then you don't want nationalism. Maybe want nationalism more than globalism but like getting shot in the arm or leg. You'd rather neither.

In the 1980's Regan got the 10K Reporting Act through with the lie it was to catch drug dealers. We still have drug dealers but now, with modern computing data power, any cash transaction (as low as 100 dollars before c19) is tagged and that data goes who knows where.

It was also the start of credit (via non government) over US currency, and the skim the credit companies now take off the top, so your dollar purchases less than a dollar.

After 9/11 The Patriot Act was passed under the guise of protecting taxpaying American citizens from terrorist. Banks and other financial institutions have used this Act to collect data on you and spy on you even tho they are not so authorized by the Act.

When you are told something is only being done for your good and will only affect criminals, Democracy dies in stages for those who's only crime is being a citizen of that Democracy.

I guarantee this doesn’t work as well as they are advertising.

It will work better than advertised; however, they will not use it as advertised (Aids in detecting gang movement, trafficking operations, and convoy patterns) and will instead use it as another way to sell your information for a profit.

However, my phone and any other personal electronic devices are owned by me. Extracting information from those, to me, would raise serious 4th amendment questions.

Have you ever actually looked at the agreement you accepted when you got your phone? You do not own it, you "subscribe" to it and all rights are conferred to Apple or Google via Android. If you bought a TV recently do not be surprised on who owns your viewing content (the data collected when your TV is on). The Internet is the least privacy safe as they were not included in "The Fairness Doctrine" established in the Radio Era and continued in the Television Era. The doctrine has since been eliminated un Regan and so never covered the Internet Era.

1984 was most correct as to a point when US voting citizens who paid taxes where no longer free. While the book of same name may not have matched the reality of that year, it is only a matter of time before the book and America will be one and the same.

Right. But I'm in a contract with the folks collecting that data. Either Thru terms of service or use agreements, technically, I've agreed to all of them, weather I understand all the data that is being collected or not.

However, the government intercepting that data and using it to track my location is a wholly different matter.

You do realize going back to the "Red Scare" of the 1950's (when all we had were LAN lines, no cell) AT&T was cooperating with the US government to track data. You really think the government got better since?

If so I feel sure I have some nice swamp land to see you at a low price in my mind.

Do you prefer the term "Toffee Nosed" instead?

This was coined in the UK for one whose head was so far up another backside in denial that that persons nose was brown. Hence the term "brown nose" in Merica.

JBE was showing that shite off during his "two weeks to flatten the curve" era, chiding us all in press conferences for moving around.

Not to mention the Big 3 automakers meeting with Trump last week to push for no right to repair a vehicle you purchased.

The two most politically incorrect data snoopers in the world, the first was ChatGP, a tech company. The second was a surprise as it was an automobile company. Apparently Tesla has the power (without your known permission) to detect if you are engaging in sexual congress in your Tesla.

Not sure if this is for sex between humans or if it extends to self pleasure in said vehicle, but both are far too creepy for me to won a Tesla anytime in the future.

Thankfully I am old, so that era technology was not data tracking equipped.
