Our friends and their kids went to Thanksgiving dinner at his parents house. His wife wore a mask the entire time just to be safe. Our friends dad had Covid but didn't know it. The only one not to get it was our friends wife, who wore the mask the entire time. Every single other person in that house got Covid.

To just jump to the idea that one of them has HIV because of two unrelated circumstances is strange. Almost paranoid. I don't often see something that is that much of a reach. Unless those masks were freshly washed they are carrying days/weeks worth of viruses and bacteria. Every time they speak they are blowing those trapped particles around. They touch their nasty arse mask then touch furniture and other items. Masks are just as nasty as the bottom of people’s shoes.
Rules at my house are no masks and shoes stay in the garage. Anyone has a problem, they can go home. I don’t give a frick.
