Let's Talk About Stay-at-Home Spouses

But first let's look at our word of the day brought to you by Dictionary.com.
pauper
[paw-per]
noun
a person without any means of support, especially a destitute person who depends on aid from public welfare funds or charity.
As many of know, your boy Pecker is a something of a feminist. I believe men and women should receive equal opportunities, equal respect, equal treatment, and equal responsibilities.
With that said, let's talk about husbands who don't work. And lets start with a list of primary reasons husbands don't work:
1) because their wives work
Now let's look at a list of secondary reasons:
1) because they have small children at home to care for
2) because the extra income isn't needed
If you have a small kid at home then i'm not talking about you. I think it's important to the development of a child that one parent stay home during a child's early, formative years.
Maybe it’s a generational thing, but unless a man is at home taking care of small children, I think it’s unacceptable to not be working. Even if you don’t need the extra income, why don’t you at least attempt to contribute. It blows my mind that there are men who spend their young adult years looking for a wealthy woman to marry so they can one day quit work and chill at home all day. They dream of sleeping till noon then going to yoga class, then going shopping, then lounging around the pool the rest of the day. It's sad. What purpose do they serve in life, other than being a leach on the arse of their wives? The good thing is that there aren't a lot of men like this. If there were, I'd have a difficult time looking at them as equals, and treating them with respect.

I think the same thing of women. Unless you are in the highest tax bracket, shite can go south very quickly. Even if you "retire" at 40, at least spend 15-20 good years building up your savings.

So what was the point of starting a thread about this then?

you should really take up a hobby or something.

A person does not have to have a traditional job or career to contribute to the household.

If my wife was making bank and I could stay home, I absolutely would. All I would have to worry about would be working out and hobbies while plenty of income was still coming in. That's the dream. But, only a dream.

Does not compute.

I'm not looking for that life, but if I had that life, I wouldn't be complaining.

Unless you’re at home taking care of children, how are you contributing to the home?
Let me guess. You do the dishes, clean, cook dinner? Maybe water the flowers?
If your job in life is just to wait for me to get home from busting my arse, you better be waiting with a blowjob, a massage, a mud facial, and you better have a flawless body.

Meh, I still prefer the dual income. We threw the little pussy shite in a daycare so the Mrs can go back to making bank.
