A is more convient, B is correct. Unless you live in Great Britain or one of their old colonies.

If it's a u-turn with no thru street coming off either direction, then A is correct.

Depends for me. If the median has lanes then B. Otherwise A because B leads to deadlock when idiots coming the other way don't leave you room to drive through.
