Are you nuts?
You’re twisting my words, and trying to take offense to something I said.

Sorry, questioning if you're nuts is not taking offense.

Do you claim drawing a black person with black skin is perfectly acceptable or no because it's "blackface"?

Say, baw......you never looked at some floppy titties in an old Nat Geo magazine as a young lad coming of age, did you?

Are you really this obtuse? Looking at all the illustrations posted, which ones look like humans?

My point was that I could see how someone could/would take offense. That the picture of the Africans gave me pause and an uneasy feeling.

Unlike some, even though I have "feelings" about it, my position still stands in that I don't believe in erasing history or editing/banning books. This is the second time I've stated this in this thread.

I didn't color in the sketches (it took me longer to upload and post them, than it did to sketch them), but If you'd like to commission something more complete for your wall, though, feel free to PM me.

Really? How does this screenshot I took from a DuckDuckgo image search about 3 minutes ago make you feel?

And the Asians, especially paired with “wear their eyes on a slant” text is not super awesome.

I haven’t followed super close but most of the images in the OP I haven’t actually seen much (if anything) about. Just the ones you and I reference here being the bigger talking points.

But why is their skin white? It’s not “blackface” to draw a black person. You are probably equally likely to catch shite from progressives for drawing their skin white.

I’d venture as much as anything it was the animal styled features, with the black just layering on as a talking point. If it was just relatively human with dark skin probably not mentioned.

I get it’s his style but it’s also waaaay more animal instead of just caricature when compared to others.

You think the Dr. Seuss company was eager to call their founding father and only reason for existence a racist and banned their own product because they wanted to?

I can’t wait to hear your explanation for this one

They’ve stepped away from plenty of his work prior to this. And it never caused this outrage.

You used the term blackface. That has a specific meaning.

If you meant it differently, no harm no foul.

It's bizarro world when facts are controversial.

There's a cringy video where Triumph the insult dog goes to a college in the NE and asks them to describe characteristics of individuals. These kids were terrified to mention anything that could be unique regarding looks.
