Will they be arrested and charged with a crime? If so, what is the crime if they are driving on an interstate and the protesters are blocking the interstate? What about the horse guy will he be charged with something? Completely unsure how this works from a legal standpoint.

In most states self defense applies if being attacked

May be different if the road was closed and someone chose to enter the road

Yes. Purposely hitting someone with your car is a crime. Aggravated assault, attempted murder, murder.

Here's a common sense answer: don't put yourself in that position

Not sure how any self-respecting lawyer or judge, white or black, could follow through with it.

You don't understand how maiming or killing someone because they're in your way is treated?

Attempted manslaughter if they live.

It will vary by where you live, but just running up and plowing into people blocking the road probably won't end well for you.
If you are stopped or happen to be driving and see them attacking cars, I would hope and pray that common sense applies and one would get off with no legal issues after running the scum over.

Certainly depends on the situation. If you go out of your way to run over someone, then yes.

If your car is mobbed and you are in danger, then self defense.

Are they standing in a crosswalk?

If you see a group of people in the road it’s your obligation to attempt to avoid them, regardless if the people are someplace they shouldn’t be.

You conveniently left out the context of WHY they hit the person with their car.

If protestors have the road blocked off and you drive through them, striking or injuring one, it’s assault and/or attempted murder(if your state has that charge). When the protestors drag you out your car and beat you within an inch of your life, they are acting in self defense to your initial aggressive action(driving thru the crowd)

There's a difference between an accident and intentionally driving into a crowd.

So you think the guy with the horse trailer will be charged with a crime?
