Louisiana has quite a few excellent lawyers that are from Louisiana, went to LSU, and understand the nuances of copyright law.
If I were LSU I would happily remove all his images from the campus.
That way, when he fades into anonymity, he won't ever be spoken of again.

Without knowing dick about this debacle, JD stands to lose more than LSU here. LSU has a 100+ years of football history, and dozens of former great athletes who aren’t arse hurt morons. They can tell him to kick rocks, erase any existence of him and not miss a beat. One party prints money hand over fist. The other is focused on pocket change.

And if you had read my other replies you’d have seen that I’m just trying to occupy my time since I’ve been in the hospital for 3 months waiting for a heart transplant. So no, it doesn’t really matter. Sorry I get bored in here. I’ll try not to, for your sake.
And the court of public opinion doesn’t mean shite when I comes to the actual court and what is actually happening. 95% of the people commenting about this haven’t laid eyes on the actual letter, but I digress.

On the legal note, i wouldn't read too much into this. This reads as strip mall/WeWork lawyer posturing. They can demand all they want but I doubt they have the stomach to litigate this after the massive negative public reaction and JD getting clowned by rando company social media managers.

I think Daniels is somewhat immature and got bad personal and legal advice. He and some rep from the LSU Athletic Department need to sit down and make this go away quietly. Daniels doesn’t need the bad press and LSU doesn’t need the big legal fees their favorite law firm will generate to screw this up.
