never understood this either. Up to this latest group of phones they weren't even waterproof at all so it wouldn't be due to being sealed.

how often do you get a new phone? Because I happen to have all the apps that I need for work already paid for on the apple platform and don't feel like spending a few hundred, if not more, getting the stuff on the android platform doesn't mean I am a drone. I mainly buy Apple stuff, I have two laptops, one at home and one at work and three iPads over the years starting with gen 1, an air and a big Pro.
I've tried Android phones two times in the past and the battery life was absolutely dog shite on both so I went back to iPhones each time. I was pretty loyal to blackberry before until their phones went to hot garbage too.
Truth is, apple has always been bulletproof for me on all ends. yes, i typically buy a new phone every two years and can sell my old one for a few hundred when I'm done with it to offset the costs. I don't bother renting a phone or even financing it on my bill, I would rather just buy it outright and be done with it.
