Never mind the huge pine tree that had snapped in half and crashed in the yard.

Baw tell me bout it. I have a 2 yr old and wife who is 37 wks preg. in N.O. wife says no evacuation no matter what.

That’s just stupid. If a major hurricane ends up bearing down on Nola then she is risking dealing with flooding, no power, looting, etc for days or even weeks. Maybe no access to healthcare

Yeah my wife is 31 weeks pregnant and if I think Laura is a reasonable risk to have a major impact, we're getting out of NOLA.

We already have our evac plan. If cat 3 or higher, we're out.

Isn’t that the risk everyday living in NOLA?

Just visited another hurricane chatting site, the texas weenies are convinced the track will keep moving west, the florida weenies are convinced the track will continue moving east.

You mean right? I would think it would nudge it to the right.

One thing to note is that several members still show this heading towards Texas. The westward shifts may possibly not be over.

No doubt. Infant mortality rate has to skyrocket in those situations.

I wouldn't stick around with a 2 year old, much less a pregnant wife. Too easy to leave these days.

Marco looks like the most cock n balls 65 mph tropical storm I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen better open waves off Africa.

Hoping you have a backup plan, because that’s a terrible one if this thing gets bad

We left when the kiddo was young. I think we are going to ride this one out this time.

I have zero interest of being without power with my 2 year old and pregnant wife. If this thing is still on this track tomorrow, we are going to the beach tomorrow night

Y’all are lucky. I struggle to convince my wife to stay in NOLA for thunderstorms.

That's a solid plan. It's one thing for adults to handle going through the emotional roller coaster of riding out a major hurricane as well as the miserable conditions that follows but why on Earth would anyone want to expose young children to that blows my mind. I do understand that it's financially feasible for some though.

Yeah I got places we can go inland. I just have a stubborn arse wife. Depending on how it develops tomorrow and Monday I might have to tell my wife tough shite this isn't about what you want anymore.
