Even though I don’t like that forecast, at least it shows it moving along and not stalling out

Last GFS run is not good for La.
Strengthening hurricane south of La. headed to LC area.
It’s way early but the strengthening thing is quite worrisome.

I’ll wait for consistent runs like that before I bring out my pucker factor scale.

Yep, it’s all just eye candy right now. It’s still going to move in each direction between now and Tuesday evening. Tuesday comes around and models are still centered on LA, I’m stocking up.

Some of these models run are horrifying but this change is very telling. The models are not handling the two systems in close proximity well. I won’t totally believe anything until one takes charge and strengthens more. Some go well into Texas. We could easily see more shifts West and this could end up much more like Rita.

Although true, this latest gfs has actuall aircraft data in it for the first time. It’s now guessing using real data.

My suspicion as well.

*Not saying this will happen*

Funny enough, I was looking up Rita rarities today because I thought it was looking like it was taking a similar path.

2 weeks without power, a foot of water in the house, and a tree top through the roof. Despite all that, I had an enjoyable couple of weeks

@LouisianaGov
Today I declared a state of emergency in advance of potential landfall from Tropical Depression 14, expected to become Tropical Storm Marco, and Tropical Storm Laura, both of which could impact Louisiana in the coming week. #lagov #lalege #TSLaura LINK

It's actually a possibility they push it as far as Texas with the way the models have been aggressive with the way the ridge builds over. Assuming that's all correct which it's probably not.
