He only gets the federal money if he needs it. Let’s not make this political. There are two systems entering the gulf and the forecast is far more uncertain than normal. I don’t blame him. We are smack dab in the middle and any deviation for either system could put Louisiana in the path.

Rapid Intensification or Bombing out.

Storm drops pressure and increases wind speeds rapidly.

the definition being a storm gaining 30 kts (35 mph) of wind within a 24 hour period

I forget what the incident was
