Same here. my anxiety is through the roof right now. It's maddening not being in control of something like I am used to.

Everything I have is tied to real estate in the Lake Charles area, and I’m eerily calm. Just glad I have my wife and two pups with me and that we are out of dodge.

Alright all, going to ask a favor at this point.

Can we please keep the posts relevant to the storm, impacts, what people are seeing, hearing, etc., moving forward?

We would certainly appreciate those that are following the thread for information at this point to be able to get it fairly quickly.

Appreciate you all understanding. It will be a long night for some, days and weeks for many, and life changing for a lot.

Worse case scenario is , you lose everything. Then you will see how quickly the machine kicks in. You will get help from people and entities that you never knew existed. A lot of that is awesome food.

Congrats on getting out and having the ability to see tomorrow.

What was that model that kept saying a cat 5, but it's not used for hurricane projections?

It will always completely blows my mind that there are folks brave/insane/completely fricking nuts enough to fly airplanes into this kind of shite

They will explain to you that it's just another day at the office but you know they say their prayers and have their wills ready. Every bit of my flight training required 20 miles between you and a thunderstorm. These guys fly into 200 mph winds.

Stout, if Tulane’s post is legit, you have to accept and report back with an accounting of events.
