We have anyone posting in this thread that stayed behind in the Lake Charles area?

Just heard on KPLC that people stayed in Cameron Parish. Johnson bayou, Hackberry and Big Lake. Some in travel trailers. Per Danny Laverne Cameron Parish OPD
Lots of man camps and camp grounds down there for the plant workers. Some of those people have absolutely no where to go. Very very sad

Jesus. I remember a few days ago we all sensibly chuckled at a doomcane model that was posted. Now here we are. Prayers for all in this monster’s path.

My brother stayed and he's in Sulphur. Will post updates as long he can send them to me.

I mean, some people just won’t go. I thought people learned after Katrina but memories are short.
This is like being on the Mississippi gulf coast during Katrina

It’s eerie to see a nice sunset knowing what’s coming.

Also KPLC has a live feed

Also reposting for people.
Good source for tornado warnings
NWS Tornado Twitter
the good thing for this storm is you only need to keep tabs on 2 local offices
Lake Charles (I assume they'll still send messages from this account even though they've abandoned the office itself for obvious reasons)
Shreveport

if I may recommend an addition... NOAA_HurrHunter... the official account of the Hurricane Hunters where they post videos/photos of their flights into the storms
I don't know how I missed them! I follow them, but must have overlooked them.

My stepdad stayed behind in St Bernard for Katrina. He was on the roof of his house for 5 days before he swam to a high school that was on fire and caught a Blackhawk to safety. I know.
