Leesville is 95 miles from landfall and Laura is moving faster than Michael.
back in ‘04 Charlie came inland over 100 miles from Orlando as a cat 4 with about 140mph winds at landfall- we got blasted here with sustained winds of 85 mph and105mph wind gusts - so I think Leesville and other towns similarly distanced from the coast could get hit with even more winds than that depending upon track of course.

The lack of coverage from such a major storm is going to be unprecedented. Watch.

This is great info to provide to the "climate change" dupes and peddlers.

The national news networks are shoe-horning in “...during a global pandemic” into everything involving the storm.

I’ve got a generator and a few window units. The power is not what I’m worried about, Im just hoping no trees fall on my house.
I just spent way too much money clearing trees for this exact reasoning.

It really is the only reason most go to hotels. Then hotels that take pets don't have generators.

While technically not a landfall, Camille passed very close to southeastern LA. Took out majority of my family living in Plaquemines Parish.
