What’s the scale for M relative to H? Are they the same distance?

I’m supposed to have eye surgery tomorrow in BR. Don’t think that’s happening.

Looks like 25-35 mph winds consistently in BR with a good bit of rain, and hopefully minimal tornadoes

What are we expecting to happen in BR?

My understanding is lots of rain and wind. Tornadoes are always a possibility. We are under a flash flood watch but SW La is in serious trouble

It was 12 feet at the Old Settlement. My house was 10.

Wasn’t accusing you.

I just found it amusing that a post of “I have a question about this storm oh and here’s some puppy advice” would elicit the reaction of “frick you here’s a downvote.”

A somewhat clown moment in Alabama during the peak of the lockdowns earlier this year was a declaration by our governor, during a threat of a tornadic outbreak, stated it was ok to gather together in a storm shelter, if necessary.
Covid can't spread in severe weather apparently

On the scale you can read it bottom right corner H 74-110 and M is more than 110.

All I know it is Rita was ones bad momma.
Like that petite hot date, but then turns bad and that destroys everything fast. Only thing left of my former camp was snapped wooden pilings. Couldn’t find the rest of it and my camp was 20 feet off the ground when my grandfather rebuilt it in 1986.

Yea now that this is looking like it could be a 4 I’m thinking of heading east somewhere instead of staying in Lafayette.

Damn. Go to sleep for 6 hours and wake up to a monster.

Good luck and stay safe to everyone in the path of this wonder of nature.

And if anyone that has been ordered or highly recommended to evac or if you are just thinking about leaving, just leave. Grab your important papers and medicines and go as soon as you can. You have time now. Don’t wait. I know it’s tough mentally to leave everything not knowing what you will return to, but believe me from experience, you won’t regret it.

Recon data indicates that #Laura is close to becoming a Cat 3 hurricane, with winds of 110-115 mph being observed in the eyewall by aircraft. Laura is now expected to be a Cat 4 at landfall near the TX/LA border tonight with winds of 130 mph.

Not great news to wake up to

Be safe everyone. The gulf is like gasoline to a fire. These things go from 60mph to 120 in less than a day. Leave if you are in the direct path. Cat 4 is nothing to ride out on the coast.
