I think it’s gonna be High Island/Winnie when it’s all said and done. That’s based on trends in the models I look at at an amateur level

Nonetheless, still sucks here considering the trajectory it’s gonna be coming in

Any guesses how much more westerly the shift is?

If you're hunting for a west enough shift to get LC out of the "will lose power" camp, I don't believe you're going to find it.

LC will definitely lose power, hoping for more westward shift to avoid the worst of the damage

I think it's going in around Beaumont/Winnie, still bad for SWLA and when, not if, that canal backs up, you might flood. I would just go east so that you can get back easy. Gonna be a notch for me to get back from Dallas now.

live on the west side of The Heights and my neighbors said we survived Ike and Harvey without a hitch (lost power for a day but that is it). Hoping for the best with this one.

So do I. My wife and I never lost power during Harvey. I’m in Florida through Labor Day, so not to worried about this one.

Anyone have an opinion on how things will look in the Acadia parish area if the current track holds?

Just told my kids to GTFO Mont Belvieu (just north of Baytown). One kid (The smart one) is heading to Austin with her family. Not sure where the others are headed yet.

if Harvey was any indication of what's to come for that area, I'd get the frick out if anywhere near it

Same but winds weren’t really a big issue.

Outside of Ike, I can’t remember a really windy hurricane to hit Houston in my life time

I just drove from Kingwood to Pasadena and I would say traffic is uncommonly light

I am going to cancel my Dallas rooms in a bit (holding on for a minute just in case) and already booked in NOLA.

Blistery and some power outages. Maybe a day or two worth of it.

So what’s everyone’s opinion on Lafayette losing power or not?
