I am getting off of the coast. My luck we would head to NOLA tomorrow only for it to change course and head towards us.

Yeah due north is just not a good idea with this storm. It is expected to be moving relatively quick and will likely be strengthening all the way up to landfall.

Due north only makes sense if it’s the only place you will/can go.

You don't think it will weaken well before then?

If the models stay the same, I'm leaning San Antonio.

If you don’t want to go east, get somewhere like Brenham. Good side of even a Galveston landfall.

At that point, just keep going to Austin.

I might just head to see some friends in Austin but I was also trying to stay relatively close to get back quickly if anyone staying needs help. That's why I figured Shreveport because that's a 3-hour drive.

We need to come back down to earth in this thread. Shreveport or Monroe might "get hit" but you wouldn't be in danger there.

I'm in Alexandria (although I've had my fair share of systems as a NOLA native)... I have no plans of going anywhere even if it comes up through Laffy

Brenham > Austin, if going for just a day or two.

Stay in Brenham, wake up, tour Blue Bell, drive home.

That's what I figure too. It will be a TS at best by the time it gets there.

If not, I will head to Dallas or Ar-Kansas.

Shitport it is for me I guess.

Unless I live in a storm surge area I wouldn't even leave Lake Charles but that's just me. People need to do what they feel comfortable doing.
