How bad is Laura gonna get too before she makes landfall? Are they still thinking cat 2-3???

All we really know is that interaction with land has not weakened Laura, and most everything in the Gulf is in its favor. What strengthening happens remains to be seen..

At what time will the 2 storms cross paths and give each other a high five?

I don't see how we can say Laura is "on land"

At 21 mph and about 50 miles to get to the open water, she will definitely be over water in about 2 and a half hours.

I absolutely hate night landfalls. You can't tell wtf is going on outside and worst yet everything sounds like a freight train around you.

Do you have any qualifications to be dispensing advice outside of obviously liking to hear yourself talk? It’s a painful to come in looking for information in this thread and have to wade through page after page of your self adulation and self flagellation

Watching David Bernards forecast tonight has me nervous over here in Covington. This east trend coupled with Marco remnants could give Laura an alley to make a turn sooner than the current track. Hoping for the best. See everyone bright and early.

I think at this point everyone is pretty much expecting it to be a major one.

I'm fairly certain anyone who's been following this thread with any consistency has resigned themselves to a major hurricane making landfall somewhere in Louisiana probably 2-3 days ago

and that's not just b/c of wishcasting... there was enough empirical evidence to support that belief

David Bernard can't tell you the weather going on outside so you'll be okay.

By tomorrow at this time, the OT consensus will have Laura at Cat5 landfall.

Even if it hits in Texas it's still going to have some bad adverse impacts on SE LA regardless. It's not going to be a small storm.

I know they're talking in a relative sense, but those 50 or so mile shifts 4 days out make quite a stir on these threads, and rightfully so.

There's a reason they tell you not to pay attention to the line, you know.
