At today’s price about 1.1 million if you’re irrigated and average 200 bushels an acre. With input costs that’s pretty shitty though. 3.25 a bushel is on the very low end of pricing, farmers are struggling pretty bad right now. Cotton and soybeans are shite too. I think rice is probably the best bet. Or you could do catfish farming like I do! We have record high prices right now and cheap feed due to low crop prices

Farmers around here are swapping over to cane and getting out of grain all together.

Just to make sure I'm interpreting these right, been viewing the latest model runs this morning and the GFS and Euro both, the two historically best performers, do exactly not-sh*t with these two storms. The assortment of other models sure do like them, though.

The models also have very little over the next 2 weeks which is peak season. Really odd season considering it was supposed to have a very favorable setup this year but none of the waves off Africa seem to be able to do much

Every spring they tell us how bad this hurricane season will be.

You never hear, “Wow, we finally caught a break. You people can relax this year”.

Gotta sell those batteries.

If it stays a weak mess, who cares where it goes.

Why does your graphic say “SAT 4:00 AM”?

based on what it does in that track close to the Louisiana coast I would say this thing will be a disorganized mess and basically just a coast tide / rain event

ICON still likes both systems. Would be a bit unusual, but it is 2020 after all.

don't put anything beyond 2020's ability to frick the world up

Serious question, what's ICONs performance history? Never really have followed it, but obviously am now because it has stuck to its guns a while.

Even so, with the systems such a mess, no model is going to know what the heck is goin on for now.

Icon usually predicts a CAT 5 when every other model says TS.

This.

Until the systems form all you are seeing is a pattern. The spaghetti paths are really meaningless.
The key is to watch and look for organization. The NHC is predicting sooner for 98L and later for 97L. Once that happens the models will mean more.
The water is warm, but there’s a lot of dry air in place. It’d near prime hurricane season, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t issues.

98L is starting to get the "look". 97L is not quite there yet.

Has the Canadian future been posted? It’s showing two tropical systems in the gulf at the same time... if that happened, it would be so......

A little under 1.5 mil this year. We have a great crop and marketed it aggressively. We’re in good shape if we can get all out.

Is appears that the WV channel is showing potential Southwesterly shear to the west of 97L ? Convection is increasing and the system seems more organized than past 72 hours.
