I can’t believe some of you all haven’t left Nola yet. The grass IS greener. Unless you’re small town elite I don’t see why it’s even a question.

All my relatives left in the 70s and they were very old blue bloods.

I was wondering about that signature matching bs, it’s a rule that needs to geaux as it’s nothing but an invitation for schemes and shenanigans. I guarantee my signature wouldn’t match unless I tried to match it.

shite sounds like a delivery failure too. Give a few months start again

This is the new scam they are running now. No signature for Dims and fake ballots, no signature match for R ballots

That’s insanity….who is the judge of that? And how in the hell does someone have time to do that with tens of thousands of signatures? I don’t live in Orleans, but I can tell you no two signatures of mine are ever 100% alike, not to mention some of these signings took place that made writing 100% proper difficult.

Corruption in plain sight and full view and they know nobody's gonna do shite.

Nolatoya.org finally issued a statement blaming various problems like state law on recalls, the disarray of Nola voting rolls, and interference and intimidation by the TP/Advocate. All valid complaints. However, the statement does not address the 40k signature rejections. If there was a good explanation, wouldn't they lead off with it? Disappointing.

I get not having firm details. They likely got what we got at the same time we got it… so they may not have much info. But they really needed to acknowledge loosely whether the second batch was going to be reviewed, challenged, etc… right?

“We turned in 32k with nearly 100% rejected. We intend to get to the bottom of how and why” wouldve gone a long way. Or something of the sort.

It felt like a concession that either they knew they turned in junk or turned in junk after the deadline nonetheless - if they thought they were solid that had to be a stronger statement

I understand "hiding behind your lawyer" is just part of life these days, but the lack of transparency from this group is frustrating.

So it’s real weird they were focused on 1 sheet of Disney names, while asserting both that most of the second batch was duplicates- photocopies in fact- but also that they were surprised signatures in the second batch predated the initial deadline. If it’s photocopies of those turned in at the deadline, obviously the dates would be prior.

I don’t particularly like the organizers but it sure is bold to claim you have the signatures while just turning in a photo copy of the thing to double your total?

Something seems real weird here. Eager to hear Eileen and noonie respond. They should be run out of town if they were second lining on the stairs knowing they only had 30k

The one page of Disney names not pulled out of the box is such a distraction from the actual story… and will get all of the attention.

Surely every recall has plenty of trash. That’s why there’s a 20% rejection rate on average.

Photocopies is a huuuuuge story though.

Most people have no idea how difficult it is to successfully recall someone. The odds are stacked against it because the politicians are the ones that make the laws. There are a lot of easy ways to disqualify a signature just based on technicalities. Then, it is a lot of work and despite people saying that they want it done, too few are motivated enough to actually put in the work. I applaud the efforts of those that tried to get it done.
