Meanwhile our mask mandate here in Columbia got extended until after Thanksgiving because the mayor "heard" there might be a surge after thanksgiving.

Monday: "We will wait two weeks to raise the mask mandate at least no matter WHAT the governor says!"
Today: "Lifting it Friday for the Holiday weekend!"
My guess is, despite publicly released polls saying she is a shoo in to win, Latoya has some internal polling saying she is in deep doodoo. Otherwise why suddenly turnaround on allowing Mardi Gras Parades after she said she was going to wait to see if COVID numbers rose after Krewe of Boo, lift the mask mandate for Halloween, and otherwise do a flip flop on her usual "I SAID PHASE TWO!" style of governance we have seen for almost 2 years now? Except for the usual obvious paid shills, I see almost universal condemnation on all her public posts for the last 2 months.

probably because when the pandemic was in full force, she had a meeting to enforce the mask mandate 2 days later. like wuflu is all over, but we're going to enforce it 2 days from now because the next 2 days you're still "secret safe". so these 2 days are buy back.

The Archdiocese released a statement that all schools can remove the mask mandated EXCEPT those located in Orleans. So those of us with kids in Orleans Catholic schools still have to deal with this bullshite.
