I used to like Helena (compared to our other politicians) until she started being a cheerleader for the new (and newly indicted) DA, Jason Williams. The dude is facing Federal tax fraud charges, his buddies have already pled guilty and she's got her head deep in the sand acting like he is the solution to New Orleans' problems. Quite disgusting.

I agree. He was even called an "Uncle Tom" by certain people during that first term, so you know he was probably actually being pretty fair and not just catering to those in political circles who are used to such treatment. Then Katrina happened and he lost his damn mind. I give him a pardon though with the passage of time (and the mayors that followed).
